Post 8: Running Wild – Brandon Heath

She wasn’t looking for an answer to an ordinary prayer
She just liked to be around him
She liked knowing he was there
She saw something no one else could see
Way beyond his gentle eyes
And it was more than just a moment
When she finally realized

That she can feel his arms around her
Even when he’s not around
And it’s worth her while
To see him smile
Her heart is running wild for him

He wasn’t looking for a reason
A certain time a perfect place
He just liked to be around her
And he loved the beauty of her face
And he knew something no one else could know about
A mystery that he will never tell
When she whispers softly to him
It’s a voice he knows so well

And he can talk to her for hours
And still have so much more to say
And if you asked him now
I bet he’d tell you how
His heart is running wild for her

Now they stand together before the father and the son
Two hearts longing for each other are living now as one

And you can almost hear the angels
You know their singing from above
About the beauty of a Father’s love
His heart is running wild for them
All for them

Post 9: thoughts Running Wild

Damien smiled as the song started. Running Wild was one of Caitlyn’s favorite songs. ‘Actually’ he thought. ‘come to think of it all of these are her favorites’. He paused for a moment as a McDonalds ad came on. ‘I’m seriously beginning to think that Caitlyn wrote this episode, I mean her favorite songs, Santana loving her so beautifully and this Samuel guy loving her in the way she’s always dreamed of being loved. This episode sounds like a lot of her old stories. I wonder whether she’s actually writing and acting on the sidelines…’ He jumped as his phone beeped again, a message from Marissa. “I’m wondering if Caitlyn has had a hand in writing this episode…This sounds so her, but on the other hand it’s so amazing to see” she wrote. Damien laughed as he responded, watching the TV for the next scene. “I literally just finished thinking that sentence myself” He got a reply just as it went to an ad break. “Next week we should watch it together?” Damien’s heart fluttered before settling down. “I’d love that” he said before putting his phone down and walking to the kitchen.

Post 10: Figure it out

Damien wandered into the kitchen to make himself a coffee during the ad. He was losing himself in so many thoughts. Thoughts of Marissa, thoughts of Caitlyn. There was just so much going through his head. His first thought was watching next week’s episode with Marissa. He then realized that he’d have to Google the episode to make sure Caitlyn was actually starring in it otherwise it’d be a waste of time. Then his thoughts went to Caitlyn. What was wrong in her life for her to run away? And to run away that far? Not to tell him? Why didn’t she tell him? That was the hardest part to deal with, that she didn’t tell him.  Was it something to do with him? Or was it something she couldn’t tell him? He couldn’t figure out what would be more painful. He admitted to himself that it had been about three weeks since he talked to Caitlyn. He had been distracted with work, working with Marissa, hanging out with Marissa… ‘Shit’ he realized. ‘I kinda forgot about her’.  He made his coffee and wandered back into the living room to sit down and watch Glee again “One good thing came out of this though” He said aloud to himself. “She’s made so much of herself.” He smiled and curled up with his cup of coffee as the show came back on.

Post 11: Rescue Mission 007

Puck, Finn, Mike, Kurt and Blaine pulled up in two cars just after Samuel snuck over from his house. They had a plan, and it was going to work. With the four guys and Emily grabbing her stuff, Kurt and Blaine were pretending to be religious nuts knocking on the door. Samuel texted Santana right before they started their plan. “We’re here, fifteen minutes starts now”. The plan was that if Santana didn’t receive a confirmation text within fifteen minutes that they were okay that she was to jog by with Britt and make sure they were okay. Luckily Emily’s windows couldn’t be seen from the front door so it was highly unlikely that they would get caught. Puck waited for Kurt’s signal, which came a few seconds later than expected “Thankyou for inviting us in, There’s a rule though we have to stay outside”. That’s all he needed to hear and the four guys snuck over to the window. After a few seconds Puck had the lock broken and the guys easily climbed through and realized that Emily wasn’t there. “Damn it” Samuel whispered before sneaking out of the room and down the hall to the bathroom.

Mike (being the smartest of the three guys) directed the others into packing up Emily’s stuff. He gave Finn the job of packing up her clothes, Puck the job of packing up her books, movies and CD’s and he started packing some bags he found in her cupboard full of school books. Finn, who was finished first, was given the job of putting all the bags in Finn’s Ute.

Samuel snuck down and saw a door on his right; He opened it and gasped audibly. Sitting against the wall bleeding and unconscious was Emily. After a few seconds of shock he ran over and felt her pulse, she was still breathing. He picked her up; and then turned looking at the hallway, He could still hear Kurt and Blaine. He snuck back down to Emily’s room where the boys were waiting in an empty room – besides furniture still there – Finn gasped, as Samuel shook his head, tears beginning to form as they climbed back out. Blaine saw them and said goodnight before he and Kurt ran over. Kurt grabbed his phone and called 911 as Samuel collapsed into the back of Finns Ute as he took off his shirt and covered a bloody spot on Emily’s head. As he sat there, tears streaming down his face he saw a shadow approaching. He nudged Mike who said “Who’s there?” A female voice spoke “It’s Santana and Britt”.  As they stepped into the light sirens began wailing and Santana gasped seeing Emily whose breathing was becoming shallower as each minute passed.

Post 12: Concrete Angel – Martina McBride

Santana sat in the ambulance with Emily holding her hand as she started to sing a song that reminded her so much of the blonde strapped to an oxygen tank in front of her.

She walks to school with the lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holding back
Wearing the same dress she wore yesterday
She hides the bruises with the linen and lace, oh

The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born

Through the wind and the rain she stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place
Where she's loved concrete angel

Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear but they turn out the light
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it will be too late

Through the wind and the rain she stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place
Where she's loved concrete angel

A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot

Through the wind and the rain she stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place
Where she's loved concrete angel

Post 13: A Question

Damien remembered that song. Caitlyn had shown it to him a few years ago and she cried the entire time while showing it to him. He remembered watching her cry and wanting to do something so badly but not really knowing *why* she was crying. As he sat there in thought his phone beeped again. It was Marissa, but Damien found himself wishing it were Caitlyn. “Was there something wrong in Caitlyn’s life? Something for her to run away like this?  She texted. Damien could feel the worry but he didn’t know. He couldn’t tell why Caitlyn had suddenly run away. He wished he knew. So; he didn’t reply and just turned back to the TV hoping that he’d get some answers within the last fifteen minutes of the show.

They showed a hospital room where Emily was hooked up to a few tubes, obviously in a coma. But then the camera moved slowly up a girl’s legs to someone holding Emily’s hand. Damien was confused a second later; because there was an Emily lying lifeless on the bed and then there was an Emily bawling her eyes out, staring at the entire Glee club sitting in the room waiting for her to wake up. A quiet melody started playing as Emily started to sing.
